The Faculty of Language of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participated in The 4th Annual Conference for Arabic Language and Its Literature, with the research entitled; “Learning Arabic & Its Literature for Special Purposes”. The annual conference was organized by the International Islamic University, kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from 15 – 17 May 2013.
MEDIU’s Dean of Languages; Dr. Abdullah Basyouni and Head of Languages, MEDIU’s Centre of Languages; Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega as well as Dr. Nahla Abdel Karim Al-Hartany participated in the conference which they presented an important note and exchanged knowledgeable comments which benefit all the conference participants. The conference attracted nearly 200 participants; representatives from various Malaysian universities and other universities around the world from the Arabian region and Islamic countries.
The conference was aim to follow the theoretical studies in the concept of language teaching for special purposes; whether professional, scientific or educational communication is it for adults, special needs, or specific topics to attend a seminar or workshop, with a focus on curriculum teaching Arabic language and literature for special purposes. With the usage of elements of the curriculumlum and educational experiences, teaching methods and evaluation methods and linguistic activities and teaching aids, and attention to modern technology and programs designed for it.
It also aims to link Western efforts in the field of language teaching Arabic for special purposes; particularly in the creative linguistic, literary, and contemporary trends in text linguistics addition followed by modernity and theories in literature and taught for special purposes, and how to effectively contribute to studies linguistics and literary Arabic in terms of global Islamic literature in narration and, deliberative and formal and deconstruction.
