Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) recently organized the 1st International Conference of Educational and Psychological Studies (ICOEPS2017) on 16-17 November 2017 at Selangor State Library, Shah Alam, Selangor. Honorable CEO, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi Zen gave an opening speech in welcoming the participants of ICOEPS2017 which was organized by the Faculty of Education in the presence of Deputy CEO of Student Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Mat bin Wan Sulaiman and ICOEPS2017 Chairman; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh.
Prof. Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al-Hidabi, Director, Office of the Deputy Rector (Internationalisation & Industry and Community Relations), IIUM presented a keynote address on “Global Trends in Education-Challenges and Opportunities” while Asst. Prof. Dr. Madihah Khalid, Head of Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty of Education IIUM presented a topic on “Contemporary Global Trends in Teaching Design” during the opening session of ICOEPS2017.
The conference organized by the Faculty of Education was launched to include different branches of education and psychological, and has been presented with outstanding scientific papers during these sessions; it has been a strong addition to researchers and students present, and through the coverage of the most important scientific and research aspects, and in terms of high value knowledge, the audience praised the scientific enrichment provided by the scientific papers.
The conference, which includes research in Arabic and English language dealt with educational and psychological studies in the light of contemporary challenges, targeting all researchers and students in the field of contemporary educational studies from all educational institutions and universities with a total of 100 papers were fully presented during the conference.
During the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh expresses his grartitude to the Honorable CEO on his patronage and guidance for the implementation of ICOEPS2017 and heartfelt gratitude to the researchers and participants from within and outside the region whom attended the conference. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim El-Kadah; Assistant Professor of Educational Administration from Al Balqa Applied University, Jordan presented the concluding statement in which he stressed that the conference contributed to the communication between researchers in the field of educational and psychological studies and the exchange of experiences in educationa; scientific research issues.
