MoU Signing Between MEDIU and IBFIM on the IFP programme.

MoU Signing Between Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) and Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) on the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) programme.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between IBFIM and MEDIU was held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Bukit Kiara to collaborate on the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) programme. The MoU was made by the Honorable MEDIU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi accompanied by by Assc.Dr.Ashraf Md. Hashim, Academic Deputy Rector. It is also a joint collaboration between IBFIM and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). The IFP is a training cum certification programme designed especially for professionals and executives serving the retail segment of the Islamic financial market.

Recognising the importance of the Islamic financial market, the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), plans to export the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) programme overseas. According to IBFIM chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Dr Adnan Alias, the institute had received enquiries from Saudi Arabia, Wales and South Korea to collaborate on the IFP programme and Malaysia will be the lead to the IFP’s programme and it is expected to receive an impressive feedback from the international level.

The other universities involved at the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between IFBIM are Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) and Universiti Malaya (UM). Among the guests at the ceremony is Deputy Minister of Finance I, Datuk Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah and President of FPAM, Steve L. H. Teoh.
