MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 24th Academic Senate Meeting on Thursday, 27 June 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
- To approve the termination of 65 students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences who fail to sit in all final examination papers for semester Feb 2013 without acceptable excuse.
- To approve the termination of 6 students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences with CGPA <1.67
- To approve the termination of 11 students from the Faculty of Languages who fail to sit in all final examination papers for semester Feb 2013 without acceptable excuse.
- To approve the termination of 2 students from the Faculty of Languages with CGPA <1.67
- To approve the termination of 28 students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology who fail to sit in all final examination papers for semester Feb 2013 without acceptable excuse.
- To approve the termination of 2 students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology with CGPA <1.67
- To approve the termination of a student from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology with CGPA remains between (1.67 and 2.00) for two continuous semesters.
- To approve the termination of a student from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology with a ‘Grade F’ twice in a row for the same subject.
- To approve the termination of 12 students from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences who fail to sit in all final examination papers for semester Feb2013 without acceptable excuse.
- To award ‘HAROON AYINLA THANI’; student majoring Master in Fiqh (Structure B)
- To award ‘MUHAMMAD ABUBAKAR MUHAMMAD’; student majoring PhD in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran
( Structure A)
- To award ‘ABDALLAH MOUSSA MOUSSA BILA’; student majoring Master in Arabic Literature And Literary Criticism (Structure B)
- To award ‘HUSSEIN ALI OMAR AL-ZOMI’; student majoring PhD in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure A)
