English Open Day Program

The Centre of Languages at Al-Madinah International University has organized an English open day program on Friday 15/06/2012 at the University premises, by 11 am.

Different types of events took place, with the participation of Director Centre of Languages, teaching staff and students. The program started with Quran recitation by one of the students, Muhammad Afiq Azhard-din, followed by the speech from Director Centre of Languages, Dr.Daud Abdul Quadir Elega emphasizing the goals, objectives and achievements of the Centre of Languages.

The head of English Language Department, Mr. Kuhairi ALBakar also informed the public about the current situation and many developments that took place in the department. The impact was witnessed in the presentation of some students who open up their achievements so far with the English Language Department and the Centre of Languages in general. Starting with Logan William Halliwell  from New Zealand, Muhammad Suhaimy from Malaysia, Hamdallah Folashade Sulaiman and Mutiat Zakariyah from Nigeria, and Ibrahim Muhammad Tamimy from Saudi Arabia.

 

Lastly, Mr Khalid Idris, the registrar of the University came up with the Introduction of the Al-Madinah International University;” The Journey so far”

The occasion was graced by many Deans, H.O.Ds’ and students from various Faculties and Departments who commented happily being the first of it’s kind in the history of the University and wish the Centre of Languages more better performance in future.

 

The program ended with Quran recitation by a student, Muhammad Zul- Hafiz and gifts were presented by Director Centre of Languages to the students, encouraging them for the future.

 

Shortly after the end of the program, the Rector of the University hosted the Director Centre of Languages and the Students. He presented them with valuable gifts for their good performance and group photograph was snapped as a memorable day.
