The IIUM’s Former Deputy Rector was appointed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as one of the International Panel for Masjidil Al Haram (The Sacred Mosque) Expansion Project. But now, he has been appointed as the CEO of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU), where he leads an Islamic-based education higher institution.

He said the campus management system (CMS) developed by the university itself facilitated students and lecturers to use the access for direct communication. The system also facilitates the management of universities especially those involving students and academic admission records, the course schedule management offered and course registration for each semester.

According to Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi furthermore, the academic programmes at the university is based entirely on Islamic Sciences field in line with the purpose of its establishment to uplift Islam as the primary education foundation. Despite being busy with careers, the Maal Hijrah Special Award Holder of the Sarawak State Level in 2010 and the Maulidur Rasul National Level in 2011 ensures that the family is a priority and the weekend is geared up to be with them.
