Participation of Faculty of Languages In The 2nd Annual Conference for Language and Education LEC 2012

The Faculty of Languages of Al-Madinah International University participated at the 2nd Annual conference of Language and Education LEC 2012, with the title ;” Language and Education: The Needs, Challenges and  Strategies”  which was organized  by Faculty of Major Languages at University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia (USIM)  Negeri Sembilan, Nilai, Malaysia, from 21st-22nd November 2012.

Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega the HOD faculty of Languages and Lecturer, Centre of Languages  presented a paper titled: “The application of e-Learning in the Supervision and Evaluation of Online Thesis.”

The conference aims to discuss issues and methods of teaching and learning in the areas of language and education in order to enhance the knowledge and human civilization. while exploring the depth of the issues in language teaching and learning and education towards enhancing knowledge globally, it also discuss  the strategies that can  meet the needs and challenges in teaching and learning, likewise in the field of education. However, (61) papers were presented in three languages: Arabic, Malay and English.

Nearly 400 participants were present at the conference from representatives of the various Malaysian universities and other universities in the world, such as Canada, Libya, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, Iraq, and other Arabian and Islamic countries.

Through  response to  participants reactions on  aspects of using the advantage of e-learning in the supervision and Evaluation of University Thesis through distance learning,  Dr. Daud Elega referred  to  his current realistic experience with  MEDIU in this regard, even assisting  other universities with expertise in this area, especially after gotten  approval from the Malaysian authorities to put more new  academic programs in both on campus  and distance learning, where it has thousands of graduate  students  located in different continents  getting  in-touch with their supervisors in the preparation of their Academic Thesis through modern technology provided by the university.
