The delegation representative from the State of Somalia visited Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) on Wednesday, 20 March 2013. The visit was led by His Excellency the President of the Diplomatic Mission (Former to the Republic of Iran); Mr. Mohamed Mokhtar and HE Mr. Mohamed Abdi Ibrahim; Representative of Somali Makhir as well as Somali assembly representative in Malaysia; Mr. Abdul Qader Mohammed Ismail. The honored delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development; Assoc. Prof Dr Mowafak Abdulla Ahmed Al-Kusairy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Saleh Faraj; Dean of the University Development and Quality and Mr. Ahmad Herzi; representative from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences.
The meeting focused on ways of strengthening cooperative relations between the universities in Somalia and MEDIU and as well as to strengthen the relations in academic, training and development fields thus to create a scientific research platform that focus on the development of Islamic education teaching methods and social problems solving skills.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of work in the next phase to crystallize all the visions and ideas, and activating cooperation mechanisms as well as expand the circle of knowledge sharing through the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding between the parties.
