The Students Affairs division in collaboration with the faculty of finance and administrative sciences organized a one-day seminar titled, “Time Management” which is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.
The seminar was held on April 27, 2013 in the Main Campus (HQ) of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU), Shah Alam-Malaysia. The speaker of the seminar was the fulltime lecturer of the faculty of finance and administrative sciences: Lecturer: Abdulkadir Mohamed Osman. Huge number of all MEDIU students of all nationalities and faculties participated and were delighted from the benefits they got from the seminar.
MEDIU Students, who participated where highly pleased with it, benefited a lot and learned the tools, techniques and skills of how to manage their time effectively. The topics covered included but limited to: Importance of Time, Different famous quotes about time value, the difference between Time tracking and Time management, the famous Stephen R. Cover’s (the bestselling author of the famous 7-Habits of the highly effective people) Matrix of the difference between Urgency vs. Importance, and the tips of allocating time accordingly. The 5-basic time management techniques, and last the 9- Easy Ways to Organize Your Life.
The seminar was blessed with the attendance of the Dean of student affairs: Asst. Prof. Dr. Moussa Oumar Keita, and his head of the counseling of student activities department: Mr. Mahmoud Radwan Hussein Al-Zgool. The Dean of faculty of Islamic Sciences: Asst. Prof.Dr. Mahdi Abdel Aziz Ahmed Mahdi. The Dean of Faculty of Languages: Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdallah Ahmad Abdallah. The Dean of the University Development and Quality Department: Asst. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Saleh Faraj and the head Literature and Criticism Depart: Asst. Prof. Dr. Nahla Abdul Karim.
The Seminar was a unique event in the sense that it were honored to have the present of the International “SOMALI CHANNEL TV” that covered the whole event, and later broadcasted the whole event in their weekly program called: “The Role of the Scholars” Which contributed the positive media presence of our esteemed University
At the end the dean of Student affairs an encouraging and motivating speak to the participating students and thanks the speaker, the other dignitaries and students for participating it.
