MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 21st Academic Senate Meeting on Tuesday, 11 June 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
– To approve the appointment of Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs division; Assoc. Prof Dr. Wan Mat Sulaiman as ‘Chairman of the Comprehensive Accreditation Committee’.
– To approve the appointment of Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs division; Assoc. Prof Dr. Wan Mat Sulaiman as ‘Chairman of the Editorial Board of the University’s Journal’.
– To approve on developing new program ‘Master in Business Administration (Structure C)’
– To approve on reducing the total credit hour for ‘Foundation in Arabic Languages’ and ‘Foundation in Islamic Sciences’ to 50 distributed within one year (two long semester and one short semester).
– To approve on the result amendment for the student named ‘LATIFA ABDULKAREEM ABDULLAH’ in the subject Morphology 1 (LARB2063) whom result was amended after the senate approval in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To award ‘GHALI IBRAHIM ABDULLAH’; a student majoring Master in Qada’ and SiyasahShar’iyyah (Structure B)
– To award ‘SUNUSI HARUNA ABDULLAHI’; a student majoring Master in Arabic Languages (Structure B)
– To award ;HASNAIN ARSHAD’; a student majoring Master in Fiqh (Structure B)
– to award ‘DAHIRU INUWA IBRAHIM’; a student majoring PhD in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure A)
