It has become a yearly tradition for Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) to have an iiftar session with the staff and orphanage home. Recently on Friday, 2 August 2013; MEDIU hosted thirty (30) childrens from Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih in Puchong,Selangor and Rumah Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Khairiah in Klang,Selangor for the annual breaking of fast event in the holy month of Ramadan with the University’s staff, media and guests.
The program which was organized by the Public Relations Department aimed to provide a medium for the staff to serve and celebrate the blissful of Ramadan with the less fortunate children as it is recommended by Islam.
MEDIU’s Manager of Administrative Affairs Division; Mr. Fuad Ahmad Umar Al-As was handing out goodies bags and ‘duit raya’ to the children’s as well as few contribution in the form of money and basic necessities to the charity homes. Also participated in this program were Dr. Fadlan Mohd Othman; Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division, and Dr. Mahdi Abdul Aziz; Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies.
