Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) recently held the launching ceremony of ‘MEDIU Alumni Club’ on Tuesday, 8 September 2020. The event was officiated by Ustaz Nushi bin Mahfodz, Special Function Officer to the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister Department (Religious Affairs) witnessed by MEDIU Honorable CEO, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadlan Mohd Othman in the presence of MEDIU’s management officials namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doucoure Abdou Samadou, Acting Deputy CEO Student Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tayeb Mebrouki, Acting Deputy CEO Academic Affairs Division and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Din, Dean, Student Affairs Divisions; Mr. Fuad Ahmad bin Umar Al As, Director Management Services Division.
The launching of the program was successful with the participation of representatives from private and government bodies, among others are Professor Salah Al-Rashidi, representative of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kuala Lumpur; Tuan Haji Farush Khan bin Akbar Khan, Executive Media Consultant of Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM); Puan Harzlina Mohd Sahar, Special Officer President Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM); Encik Mohammad Saeed Zakaria, International Affairs Assistance Officer of Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM); Dato Hj Sr. Rosli Atan, Founder of Yayasan Budi Ihsan Malaysia (YBIM); Encik Mohamed Zambri Mohamed Isa-Manager of Yayasan Budi Ihsan Malaysia (YBIM); Tuan Hj. Termize Johar from Jabatan Agama Islam & Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan and Encik Aiman Sufyan bin Aezman from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Atta’awun Selangor.
MEDIU’s CEO in his opening speech states on the goals of the Alumni Club among others to strengthen the university’s relationship with the alumni members, providing useful programs for university students and societies, such as cultural, educational services as well as to develop the graduates’ abilities and talents in giving back to the societies and the initiative to play a role to educate the community.
