Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for PhD and Master academic programmes on Saturday, 22 February 2014. The delegation panels were Dr.Saadan Man (UM), Dr.Azman Ab Rahman (USIM), Prof.Madya Dr.Salmah Ahmad (UKM) and Prof.Madya Dr.Zakaria Omar (UIA) meanwhile MQA officers were represented by Puan Suhana Ramli, Cik Normaliza Ikram and Puan Siti Nur Azreen Teroh.
The PhD and Master online academic program that were being evaluated is an PhD in Fiqh (By Research)-PA11167, PhD In Usul Al-Fiqh (By Research)-PA11168, Master in Arabic Literature and Literacy Criticism-PA11225 and Master in Arabic Language (By Research)-PA11226. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Associate Professor Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramadan Mohamed Abdelmoeti Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Languages; Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, registrar personnel, faculty members as well as administrative officers were involved in the visit.
The evaluation of the programmes involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers through online method. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
