MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired an academic senate meeting on Wednesday, 6 February 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all departments, academic deans and faculty members. Throughout the session, various agenda and topics as well as several concerns on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
I. To award ‘HABEB SUFYAN MOHAMMED REDHWAN’ (MTF111AL482), student majoring in;Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (By Research) with accumulated result of 93% (Grade A) according to Clause (1), Article 87 of Postgraduate Rules.
II. To award ‘HAYTHM ALY ABD.EL-BASIR ALY’ (MFS103AF674), student majoring in;
Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (By Research) with accumulated result of 90.1% (Grade A) according to Clause (1), Article 87 of Postgraduate Rules.
III. To award ‘WAFI MARZUQI AMMAR’ (MFS103AH418), student majoring in;
Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (By Research) with accumulated result of 89% (Grade A-) according to Clause (1), Article 87 of Postgraduate Rules.
IV. To award ‘SAMY TOUNY MOHAMED ABD EL-JAAFAR’ (MHD111AJ844), student majoring in;
Master in ‘Ulum Al-Hadith (By Research) with accumulated result of 84.7% (Grade A-) according to Clause (1), Article 87 of the Postgraduate Rules.
V. To award ‘MAHA ABDULLAH AL-ZUGHIBI’ (MHD091AA569), student majoring in;
Master in ‘Ulum Al-Hadith (Structure C) with accumulated result of CGPA 3.38
VI. To award ‘YASMIN AHMED KHALIL HUSSEIN KHALIL FAWZI’ (MTF103AG885), student majoring in;
Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure C) with accumulated result of CGPA 3.61
VII. To amend the Senate Meeting Minute No. [MEDIUMYGOV5.1.1(13)03] item (2) pertaining “To award ‘SAWSAN AWAD MOHAMED KARAR’ (MEC11AJ926), student majoring in; Master in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) (By Research) with CGPA 4.0” ;AND revise to “To award ‘SAWSAN AWAD MOHAMED KARAR’ (MEC11AJ926), student majoring in; Master in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) (By Research) with accumulated result of 77.4%) (Grade B+)”; due to the consideration on the subject of ‘Research Methodology’ as a pre-requisite to the CGPA calculation.
VIII. To terminate a number of ‘103’ Postgraduates students in (Structure A, B and C), who deferred their studies for one semester without sufficient justification according to Clause (3), Article 37 of Postgraduate Rules and as per the attachment (T-13-09-B).
