Vision

To generate a group of human capital who are knowledgeable in business and management, as well as technically competent to efficiently and effectively manage a business enterprise and compete internationally.

Mission

  • To strengthen and sustain  graduates wisdom in decision-making  and propagate ethical  conduct in business guided by Islamic values and principles.
  • To provide equal opportunities for those who have physical and health disabilities, in particular, to possess a body of knowledge and leadership acumen, hence, enabling them to achieve their full potential and career success.
  • To allow graduate to have wider career choices; they may build their careers in business or information technologies related professions.
  • To create a perceptions among students that they should not only be “job-seekers” but should be “job-creators”.
  • To instill and encourage students to integrate their religious faith in the learning process with the intention of diminishing, and later eliminating the idea of free thoughts.
Objective
  • To equip the graduates with basic knowledge in business and computer technologies.
  • To improve graduates’ current and future skills in business and computer technologies.
  • To improve and sustain students’ written and presentation skills.
  • To inculcate the need to be self-disciplined, able to do work independently and time conscious.
  • To inculcate a “hunger‟ for knowledge and appreciation of the potential “wealth” within it.
Learning Outcomes
  • Wide understanding of the principles of business areas and their relationship to other entities in the business environment.
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex and challenging problems using appropriate models and technologies acquired from the various subjects in the curriculum.
  • Maturity and critical in thinking, and able to present ideas clearly, logically and persuasively in both oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrate understanding of major ethical concerns by analyzing alternatives and identifying consequences that result from unethical behavior and selecting an appropriate course of action in order to avoid unethical behavior.
  • Understand norms and business administration practices across the globe.
  • Exhibit methods of examining cross-cultural environments.
  • Demonstrate effectual problem-solving traits.
  • Deliver a coherent and persuasive business analysis.
  • Identify and summarize the important aspects of an issue and then determine relationships that are integral to analysis of the problem.
  • Create an effectively written or oral report using appropriate analytic tools and presentation software (such as SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Be able to proceed on to postgraduate level study in business administration.
  • Demonstrate awareness of issues relating to the society and humanity; and act according to the codes of professional ethics and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurship and managerial skills, as well as in sights into the enabling nature of the gained key [transferable] skills in other work environments and the range of opportunities within and outside the field.
  • Utilize information technologies in the design an administration of the organization.
  • Analyze domestic and global forces that affect organizational success.
  • Able to understand domestic and international derivers of organizational success.
Entry Requirements

The general academic requirements for admission into MEDIU’s undergraduate programmes are provided as follows:

  • The applicant should have passed the foundation course offered by the University with a CGPA of at least 2.00.
  • Have passed Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with at least two principal passes.
  • Attained a diploma accredited by MQA, the Malaysian Government or the University Senate with a grade of “good” or “better”.
  • Have passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM).
  • Alternatively, the applicant will have acquired any degree recognized by the University as equivalent to one of the previously mentioned qualifications.
Language

English Language:

Since the medium of instruction of this program is in English, all applicants must meet the English language requirement before being admitted to the programme. Examples include:

  • Having English as their mother tongue.
  • Substantially worked or studied in an English-speaking country (such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States).
  • English language proficiency exam with a minimum overall band score of 550 in TOEFL or 5.5 in IELTS.
  • A minimum overall band score of 4.00 in MEDIU’s English Language Placement Test (MUET).
  • Any other qualification which is of equivalent level as determined by the Senate of the University.

Program Structure

The applicant is required to study a subject named Research Methodology, then the applicant can start the research under the supervision of an academic member.
