Vision

Towards achieving excellent academia that will equip the learners with the latest and comprehensive ICT skills and knowledge to qualify them to become IS Professionals who can develop and implement ICT solutions.

Mission
  1. Provide the students with the latest and comprehensive ICT skills and knowledge for them to develop and implement ICT solutions that enhance organizational performance.
  2. Prepare the students with the relevant competency and skills to become ICT knowledge workers who have a broad business and real world perspective.
  3. Strengthen the students’ analytical and critical thinking skills together with interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Produce skilled graduates imbued with Islamic values and ICT professionalism and has the ability to contribute to nation building, wealth creation and unity of the ummah.
Objective
  1. To equip the students with the latest and comprehensive ICT skills and knowledge for developing and implementing ICT solutions that enhance organizational performance.
  2. To enable the students to graduate as competent and entrepreneurial ICT knowledge workers who are marketable to the Industry, locally and internationally.
  3. To strengthen the students’ analytical and critical thinking skills together with interpersonal and communication skills throughout the learning period and industrial attachment.
  4. To enable the students learn how to inculcate Islamic values into their ICT professionalism for the purpose of nation building, wealth creation and unity of the ummah.
Learning Outcomes

By having a Bachelor of Information Technology in Management Information System, a student should be able to:

  1. Apply the latest and relevant ICT skills and knowledge to develop and implement ICT solutions that enhance organizational performance.
  2. Perform the job and responsibilities of an ICT knowledge worker competently and in an entrepreneurial manner in relevant industries, locally and internationally.
  3. Design and implement ICT solutions that are viewed upon analytical and critical perspective and as a team that often requires the interpersonal and communication skills in the workplace.
  4. Work professionally, with positive attitude and with pleasant character according to Islamic values, as a qualified ICT knowledge worker for the purpose of nation building, wealth creation and unity of the ummah.
Entry Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into MEDIU’s undergraduate Courses are as follows: 
  1. A pass in Shahadah Thanawiyyah Ammah examination (compulsory: taken upon the completion of 12 years primary and secondary schools education); OR
  2. Two principal passes in the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia / Malaysia High School Certificate); OR
  3. Two principal passes in the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Education System); OR
  4. A pass in MEDIU’s Foundation programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
  5. A pass in any Diploma recognized by the Government of Malaysia and/or the Senate of the University; OR
  6. Five (5) Passes in SPM/SPMV or in the General Certificate of Education ‘Ordinary Level’ (GCE) ‘O’ Level Examination (UK Education System) or their equivalent AND at least 3 years working experience;
  7. Any other certificate or qualification that is recognized by the University’s Academic Board as equivalent to one of the above.
Language
English Language

Where the medium of instruction of a course is English and if applicant’s first language is other than English, applicants are required to obtain a score of either:

  1. 550 TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or
  2. 6.0 band IELTS (International English Language Testing Service)

Applicants, who do not have either of the above qualifications, are required to pass MEDIU’s English Placement Test (MEPT) with a 6.0 points.
