Towards achieving fundamental academia that will equip the student with the essential skills and abilities in teaching the Arabic Language.
Mission
- Prepare the student to learn the Arabic Language to achieve linguistic, communicative and cultural abilities.
- Develop student’s language skills.
- Equip the student with essential communication language skills which will enable him tocommunicate and interact with native speakers in both verbally as well as written form.
Objectives
- Prepare students to become in-depth seekers of knowledge in comprehending and teaching Arabic language.
- Develop the student’s language skills as well as literary texts to enable them in understanding sources of Islamic and Arabic Language.
- Development of graduates communicative and cultural language skills and abilities.
- Equip the learners with the ability to recognize the beauty of the language and to have a taste for creative literary production.
Learning Outcomes
- Prepare the students to gradually be able to possess an effused in-depth teaching the Arabic language.
- Understand the sources of Islam and Arabic language sciences to be able to contribute in disseminating correct knowledge to their respective communities.
- Strengthen the spirits cooperation and interaction among Muslims in the field knowledge and science.
- Producing specialists in the field of Arabic language, who are capable of sustaining a correct use of the language, besides having the taste of the beauty of its literature and a better understanding of its meanings.
Language
Arabic Language:
For candidates who wish to enter a program in which the medium of instruction is Arabic; they must pass MEDIU’s Arabic Placement Test(MAPT). Exception will be granted; and it is subjected to the university senate based on terms and conditions.
Entry Requirements
ON CAMPUS
i. Passed Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) / Malaysian Higher Certificate of Religion (STAM) / A-Level obtaining at least a full Pass in two (2) subjects including Arabic Language or equivalent with a CGPA of 2.00 / Passed the relevant Foundation / Matriculation; or
ii. Graduated Diploma in related fields; or
iii. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia; and
Passed the Shahadah Thanawiyyah Ammah examination .
Arabic Language Requirements
Candidates who wish to enter a program which medium of instruction is Arabic Language, must pass MEDIU’s Arabic Placement Test (MAPT) or equivalent. Exemptions will be granted subject to the University Senate’s approval based on situations.
ONLINE
i. Full pass in 2 subjects including Arabic Language in Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM); or
ii. A-Level ; or
iii. Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) ; or
iv. Diploma / Foundation in the relevant field which have earned the Minimum Standards from MQA or other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
