Welcome to Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) website. Since its establishment in 2007, MEDIU seeks to employ technology in education through its integrated system, which enables it to offer a modern concept of self-learning and e-learning for both on campus and online modes. This allows MEDIU to achieve its vision and mission of providing education without the limitation of time and space.

At MEDIU, we believe that education is the right of all. In light of that, the university pursues to reach students wherever they are, in order to promote education, morals and character besides strengthen their knowledge and skills in research. In addition, we comprehensively observe the present and the future with openness and optimism so we can uplift our educational system and serve our mission, vision and values.

2007	Final approval and registration by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia (MOHE)
2008	The establishment of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Languages and Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences.
	The enrollment of the first student’s intake.
	The admission of 3320 of students to the university from more than (39) countries around the world.
	The enrollment of 2123 students from more than (40) nationalities globally
2009	The establishment of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
	Full accreditation status by MQA for 24 academic programs.
	The application of 2482 male and female students to the university.
2010	The establishment of the Faculty of Education.
	The obtainment of memberships from Islamic Development Bank and European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning (EFQUEL).
	The launch of on-campus/conventional learning method (September).
	The introduction of financial assistance by National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) to local students.
2011	The establishment of the Faculty of Engineering.
	First Prize for the Best Website Award under the ‘University College and Private University’ category by Ministry of Education, Malaysia.
	The graduation of the first cohort of bachelor and master students.
	The approval of more diploma and postgraduate programs by the Ministry of Higher Education.
2012	The obtainment of membership in International Association of Universities (IAU).
	The approval of Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
	The first VIVA VOCE presentation for Master Degree in Islamic Sciences.
2013	The endorsement of Mediu Training and Continuing Education Centre as an authorized test centre for the International Computer Driving License (ICDL).
	The launch official website in Malay version.
	The recognition of academic programs by the Ministry of Higher Education, China.
2014	The enrollment of 2265 students for February intake.
	The launch of university’s website in French language.
	The recognition of academic programs by Ministry of Higher Education and Research of Yemen and Nigeria.
	Full accreditation status by MQA for 40 academic programs.
2015	The recognition of academic programs by Ministry of Higher Education in Arab Republic of Syria, Republic of Sudan and Palestine.
	The first issue of university referred journal Arrasikhun and fourteenth issue of university referred journal Majma.
	The number of active students is 2384 from 84 nationalities.
	The number of graduates is 1982 from 70 nationalities.
	Full accreditation status by MQA for 48 academic programs.
