Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a visit by The Ambassador of Sudan, His Excellency Mr. Nader Youssef ElTayeb Babiker and Mr. Asim Yasin Mohamed Ahmed; the consultant of the Sudan embassy on Friday morning, 11 March 2011. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable Rector; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi, Prof. Dr. Kamal Tawfiq Mohd Hattab; Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs Division, Mr. Sirag Elnour; MEDIU’s Chief Technology Officer as well as the Public Relations officials.
During the discussion with MEDIU’s Honorable Rector, the honored ambassador praised MEDIU’s role in enhancing the usage of modern technology among Muslim to improve the educational process. MEDIU’s Honorable Rector expressed his gratitude for the visit and his keenness to increase the opportunities for constructive cooperation between the two parties. A detailed explanation and procedures of the e-learning process was presented to His Excellency and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Honorable Rector presented a token of appreciation to His Excellency The Ambassador of Sudan who expressed his admiration towards the University’s by stated in the guest book “I had the honor to visit this edifice of education and center of scientific radiation which honored us as Arabs and Muslims. I was struck by the vision, planning and strict regulation, and optimal use of modern technology and perhaps the presence of about 90 nationalities within MEDIU which confirms the prevalence and reputation achieved by this university, despite the short period of time”.
