Vision
Towards achieving fundamental academia that will equip the learners with the essential ICT skills and knowledge to qualify them for the entry level of System Developer and System Administrator.
Mission

- Enhance the students academic credentials through learning of Islamic values to be inculcated into their professionalism, attitude and characters.
Objective
- To enable the students to graduate as competent and entrepreneurial ICT knowledge workers who are marketable to the Industry, locally and internationally.
- To equip the students with the relevant skills and knowledge for develop and administer the latest systems and technology.
- To strengthen the students system development skills and knowledge through network professional certification at the fundamental, intermediate and advanced levels.
- To enable the students learn how to inculcate Islamic values into their professionalism, attitude and characters in addition to their acquisition of academic qualifications.
Learning Outcomes
In order to receive a Diploma in System Development and Administration, a student should be able to:
- Perform the job and responsibilities of an ICT knowledge worker competently and in an entrepreneurial manner.
- Apply the relevant skills and knowledge to develop and administer the latest systems and technologies.
- Understand the fundamental, intermediate and advanced skills that are required to solve network-related tasks.
- Work professionally with positive attitude and pleasant characters according to Islamic values as a qualified system developer and administrator.
Entry Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into MEDIU’s Diploma Courses are as follows:
- At least three (3) passes including Mathematics in the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE) Level Examination (UK Educational System);
OR - Pass at least 3 credits in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) and pass in Mathematics;
OR - Any certificates with a pass in Mathematics and working experience that are recognized by the University as equivalent to the above
Language
Where course admission requires language proficiency based on the course medium of instruction, applicants are required to fulfill specific language requirements.
English Language
Where the medium of instruction of a course is English and if applicant’s first language is other than English, applicants are required to obtain a score of either:
- 5.0 TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or
- 5.5 band IELTS (International English Language Testing Service)
Applicants, who do not have either of the above qualifications, are required to pass MEDIU’s English Placement Test (MEPT) with a 4.0 points.
