Towards a fundamental academic education which will make the student capable of obtaining knowledge in the field of Arabic language and its sciences.
Mission
- To prepare the qualified students to further studies in the Arabic language and its sciences.
- To form an appropriate educational environment for the student through studies of the foundation that are related to the Arabic Language and linguistic sciences.
- To give the student technical skills and the necessary educational quality in the various field of Arabic Language and linguistic sciences.
Objectives
- To prepare the students who are able to gain knowledge of the Arabic Language and linguistic sciences.
- To raise the knowledge level of students.
- To develop and enhance the educational and technical abilities of the students in the various fields of Arabic Language and linguistic sciences.
- To provide a sound and uninterrupted progression towards reputable recognized degree in the field of Arabic Language.
Learning Outcomes
- Apply the four basic Arabic Language skills i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking in addition to the Arabic syntax.
- Acquire the Islamic principles and values.
- Acquire the lifelong learning skills.
- Use Arabic Language as a positive social communication.
Entry Requirements
i. Passed SPM with at least 5 credits in any subjects including Arabic Language subject; or
ii. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia; AND
Candidates must sit for the Arabic Language Placement Test conducted by the HEP for students who do not have Arabic Language at the SPM level.
Language
Arabic Language:
All candidates must sit for the Arabic language Placement Test and those who are excluded from this test are:
1. Candidates who speak Arabic language.
2. Candidates who have obtained the religious Secondary school certificate (STAM)
3. Candidates who have obtained the general Secondary school Certificate (SPM) and the Arabic course was one of the taught courses.
4. Candidates who have obtained the High secondary school Certificate (STPM) and the Arabic course was one of the taught courses.
