In conjunction with the spirit of Ramadan, MEDIU has collaborated with SBPI Gombak to hold an Ihya’ Ramadhan Program at the school recently. The activities that were being done are Iftar session, Lead the Terawih and Witir prayer which was led by Dr. Mahdi Abdul Aziz; Dean, Faculty of Islamic Sciences. He was accompanied by the Head, Public Relations Department, Mr. Jamaluddin Hussain. It is estimated over 800 crowds including students, teachers, administration staffs and local residents participate in the program.
SBPI Gombak is a school under the Ministry of Education which combines the religious and conventional subjects in its teaching methods. Potential students’ needs to undergo a screening process during the admission session; as the school only select the top and qualified students from all over Malaysia.
Ihya’ Ramadan Program is organized by MEDIU’s Public Relations Department along with its community project in collaboration with the selected local communities in order to enliven and celebrating the holy month of Ramadan.
Tuan Haji Mohd Rezazali bin Ahmad Ansari; Senior Assistant, SBPI Gombak School states that the program is very special to them as it gives a different kind of views in leveraging the rewards given by Allah during Ramadan. He also states that, “This program is very meaningful to us as it able to boost the morale to perform worship to Allah. We hope that this kind of programs would be continued in the future“.
