MEDIU participate in an International Conference in Prince of Songkla University, Thailand

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participate in an international conference entitled “Role of Islamic Studies in Post Globalized Society”, which was held in the College of Islamic Studies, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand from 21-23 December 2010. His Excellency Abhisit Vejjajiva, Prime Minister of Thailand inaugurates and preside the opening ceremony of the two days conference along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bunsom Siribamrungsuk, President of Prince of Songkla University at the University’s campus in Pattani.

The two days conference was attended by various institutions of Islamic Studies namely Al-Azhar University,Egypt; Yarmouk University,Jordan; Madinah University,Saudi Arabia and not to forget the representatives from Islamic Studies institutions in Malaysia and Indonesia and Thailand as well. The conference is a platform for the representatives to share and exchanged remarkable ideas from the prominent educationists and dignitaries about programs that support and up to date to the new era.

MEDIU delegation was led by The Honorable Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi, who delivered a paper entitled “Evolution of Islamic Education through the Internet, and the experience of Al-Madinah International University in the Online Education (Malaysia)” in addition to visual presentation about MEDIU and its future projects who was accompanied by Mr. Khalid Mahamat Idriss Ahamat; Manager of Administrative Affairs Division.

A token of appreciation were presented to MEDIU’s Honorable Rector by His Excellency Abhisit Vejjajiva, Prime Minister of Thailand at the end of the conference.
