MEDIU received a delegation from a Malaysian private industrial investment sector on Thursday morning, 23 December 2010. The delegation was led by Dato’ Abdullah Che Mat along with Tuan Hj. Mohamed Salih, Tuan Hj. Rahim Naim, En. Mohamad Nasir and Tuan Syed Hashim Ahmed. They were welcomed by Assoc. Prof Dr Mowafak Abdulla Ahmed Al-Kusairy; Deputy Rector of Research and Development (R&D) as well as Prof. Ir. Dr. Wan Mahmood Wan Ab. Majid; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The visit is mainly to discuss various aspects of potential cooperation between the two parties and the establishment of a joint committee to discuss future projects on the level of investment and scientific consulting.
A brief view of future development projects between the two parties in the areas of scientific and industrial investment were being held during the discussion and another meeting will take place to discuss further on the plans and procedures. At the end of the visit, the delegation was brought for an office tour to the R&D department as well as to the other department of the University’s and a token of appreciation was also being presented to the delegation.
