MEDIU Executive Management Council (EMC) Meeting

 

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired an EMC meeting on Wednesday, 20 February 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda and topics as well as several concerns on MEDIU’s development and progress were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.

 The EMC has agreed and approved on the matters as follows:

  1. To appoint Dr.Akram Radwan Fathallah as the Head of Hadith Department for online education.
  2. To appoint Dr.Hassany Mohammad Nor as the Head of Fiqh Department for online education.
  3. To appoint the experts in the field of counseling and guidance for the Student Activities Department as below:
    a. To appoint a Deputy Dean of Student Affairs for online education.
    b. To appoint a Deputy Dean of Counseling and Student Activities Department for online education.
    c. To appoint an officer to handle the graduates units for online education.
    d. The composition of the student activities committees are as follow:
    • Religious Activities committee
    • Cultural Activities committee.
    • Science and Technology Activities committee
    • Sports Activities committee.
    • Social Activities committee.
    (Each committee should consist of five(5) activities)
  4. The EMC has decided to consider on the issues involving the student’s scholarships starting February 2013 semester as follows:
    a. No scholarships application grant to students for February 2013 semester; due to minimal funding aid.
    b. Students who could not afford to make the payment may get a supporting letter from the University; to provide information to the third party to assist them in the payment.
    c. Dean of Student Affairs to announce to all February 2013 students; that there will be no scholarships for the current semester.
  5. For conventional students payment status that could not be completed within the given period; the EMC has decided on the following:
    • To suspend the student who exceed their payment limit for a period of one (1) week from the date of suspension.
    • The student must provide a Notification Letter to the Dean of Admissions and Registration; explaining the reasons that they could not complete the payment within the given period.
    • For the student who completed their fees within the given periodl the status of the students will be reactivated automatically.
    • However, for the students who ignore to the notification payment; the status of the student will be terminated.
  • The EMC has approved Discount Rate Schedule to overcome the issue for February 2013 semester.Discount Rate Schedule and Payment Deadline for February 2013 semester are as follow:
