MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired its 34th EMC meeting on Thursday, 12 September 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.
The EMC has agreed and approved on the matters as follows:
– To assign ‘Nur Atira’ as Head of WPU
– To appoint ‘Mrs.Siti Ilyana Ab. Salam’ as a full time lecturer in the English department, Center of Languages. The recommendation is based on need of the Faculty, qualification and the candidate has fulfilled the position requirement
– To appoint ‘ Dr.Saeed Ibrahim Saeed’ as a lecturer in as full time lecturer in the department of Ulum Al-Quran, Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The recommendation is based on need of the Faculty, qualification and the candidate has fulfilled the position requirement
– To appoint ‘Malik Mustafa’ to teach one subject in Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
– To appoint ‘Hamzah Abdallah Al-Shorman’ to teach one subject in Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
– To appoint ‘Said Mohammad Ahmad Altahat’ to teach one subject in Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
– To appoint ‘Sami Samir Abdelfattah’ as a part time lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To appoint ‘Abdul Rahim Mohammad Sanusi’ as a part time lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To appoint ‘Assoc.Prof.Dr.Ishak Bin Hj.Sulaiman’ as External Examiner for the Bachelor/Master/PhD program for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To appoint ‘Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ahmad Kamil Mahmood’ as External Examiner for the Bachelor/Master/PhD in Information Technology for the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
– To appoint ‘Dr. Ashraf Hassan Mohammed’ as a full time lecturer in the Arabic Department, Faculty of Languages.
– To appoint ‘Dr. Mohammed Rafiqalaeslam’ as a full time lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To appoint ‘Dr. Khalid Alsyed Mohammed’ as a full time lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– To appoint ‘Dr. Amal Mahmood Ali’ as a full time lecturer in the Faculty of Education.
– To appoint ‘Dr. Mahdi Abdulazeez as a full time lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
– In regards of the proposal on the discount offer and the recommendation for the coming semester as follows:
First : No discount in tuition fees for SEPT 2013 semester.
Second : Decrease the credit limit (outstanding balance) of the students to RM3,000 by FEB 2014 semester.
Third : Credit limit will not be allowed from SEPT 2014 semester onwards.
Fourth :To form a Malaysia students education funding committee members consists as follows:
i. Deputy CEO, Academic Affairs – Chairman
ii. Deputy CEO, Student Affairs
iii. Dean, Students Affairs Division – Secretary
iv. Head, Students Services Department
v. Head, Public Relations Department
vi. Head, Finance Department
Fifth : To collaborate with International Relation Division(IRD) in getting support and financial aid from external parties outside Malaysia.
Sixth : To assign Dean, Students Affairs Division to prepare a list of recommendation bodies to assist the education funding of the students.
Seventh: To complete the ‘Donation Portal’ service with cooperation from Student Affairs Division, International Relation Division, Technology Division and Finance Affairs Division.
