MEDIU Executive Management Council (EMC) Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired an EMC meeting on Friday, 1st March 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda and topics as well as several concerns on MEDIU’s management and agencies’ progress were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.

The recommendation is:

–       To participate and cooperate with the Foundation RDS on organizing a conference on ‘International Conference of the Islamic Applications in Computer Science and Technology’.

Conference Objectives:

  1. To provide significant applications and programs that can be contributed to the service of Muslims, its religion and society.
  2. To encourage using the information technology tools in forensic science and Arabic language in its scientific research.
  3. To serve information technology and its applications in various aspects of life that has a significant impact in the service of Islam and Sciences.
  4. To provide important technical applications and programs that can be contributed to the service of Muslims, its religion and society.
  5. To encourage scientific researchers through the use of information technology tools in forensic science and language, as well as appraising Muslim contributions to the applications in the field of Computer Science and Technology, and automatic translation for Arabic Language, and natural language processing of the Arabic language  through the  voice and  character recognition.
  6. Usage of high quality publication paper material for the special issues of international journals of the Islamic Community in the computer science and information technology, as well as Journal of Al-Madinah International University in Arabic language.

–       To suspend bachelor students (online) whom the payment status could not be completed within the given period (One month)

  1. To send a Notification Letter to the Dean of Admissions and Registration; explaining the reasons that they could not complete the payment within the given period.
  2. For the student who completed their fees within the given period the status of the students will be reactivated automatically.
  3. However, for the students who ignore to the notification payment; the status of the student will be terminated.

–       To suspend master students (online) whom the payment status could not be completed within the given period (Two months)

  1. To send a Notification Letter to the Dean of Admissions and Registration; explaining the reasons that they could not complete the payment within the given period.
  2. For the student who completed their fees within the given period the status of the students will be reactivated automatically.
  3. However, for the students who ignore to the notification payment; the status of the student will be terminated.

–       To suspend postgraduate students (online) who did not achieve results academically, payment status is not completed within the given period; and no payment for the two weeks for September 2012 semester.

  1. To send a Notification Letter to the Dean of Admissions and Registration; explaining the reasons that they could not complete the payment within the given period.
  2. For the student who completed their fees within the given period the status of the students will be reactivated automatically.
  3. However, for the students who ignore to the notification; the status of the student will be terminated.
