MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 34th Academic Senate Meeting on Friday, 15 November 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
- To award ‘FOUZY SALAH’; student majoring Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (Structure B) with CGPA 3.39.
- To award ‘AWALUDDIN YAHYA’; student majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure B) with CGPA 3.89.
- To award ‘MAJID MOHAMMAD RAFIQ AL JUHANI’; student majoring Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (Structure B) with CGPA 3.84.
- To look into the recommendation on the adoption of Arees University into the list of University’s recognised universities.
- To look into the recommendation by the R&D Division on assigning Faculty members to submit two(2)papers within one(1) year and to coordinate between the scientific research team members.
- To activate the role of the Scientific Research Board.
- To look into the recommendation by the Postgraduate Studies on the evaluation of research paper for Master and PhD students.
- To look into the recommendation by the Postgraduate Studies on the proposal on the requirement for Master and PhD students (Structure A) upon viva presentation
- To look into the recommendation by the Postgraduate Studies on the approval in regards to the modification of Postgraduate’s guideline.
