MEDIU’s Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 11th academic senate meeting on Tuesday, 26 February 2013. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda and topics as well as several concerns on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

  • To award ‘ICHAOU ISSOUFOU’, student majoring Master in Fiqh (Structure A)
  • To award ‘ABDULMOIN MOHAMMED IKRAM’, student majoring PhD in Fiqh (Structure A)
  • To award ‘AOMAR ABOUZID’, student majoring Master in Tafsir And ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an (Structure B)
  • To award ‘BELKACEM AMIRI’, student majoring Master in Tafsir And ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an (Structure B)
  • To award ‘ABDULLAH SEDKY ABDELMONIM ABDELHAMED’,student majoring Master in Usul Al-Fiqh (Structure B)
  • To award ‘FATIMAH YOUSEF OMAR WASEL’,student majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an (Structure A)
  • To award ‘IDRIS MOHAMMA ABKAR MOHAMMAD’,student majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an (Structure A); according to the Clause (1) of Article 87
  • To award ‘MUSTAFA MOHAMMD JIBRIL IBRAHIM’, student majoring Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (Structure C)
  • To terminate the ‘bachelor students with CGPA below 1.67’ in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; according to Part 1 of Article 32.
  • To terminate the ‘bachelor students with CGPA below 1.67’ in the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology; according to Part 1 of Article 32.
  • To terminate the ‘bachelor students with CGPA below 1.67’ in the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences; according to Part 1 of Article 32
  • To terminate the ’bachelor students who did not attend the final examination of a given semester without acceptable excuses’ in the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences; according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examination.
  • To approve the amendment by the senate members for the student’s results in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; according to September 2012 semester results (online and conventional) submitted to the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  • To re-approve the admission of Faculty of Islamic Sciences students who were terminated for not attending the final examination in Sep 2012; as the students appeal applications and excuses were accepted by the senate members.
