Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) hosted a community event with the children’s from Al-Khairiyah Orphanage Homes and volunteers from a non-profit organization Teach For The Needs (TFTN) at Shah Alam Library, Section 13 on Saturday, 24 August 2013. The program which is one of the 2013 community service programs were organized by the MEDIU’s Public Relations Department.
The program titled ‘Inspirasi Kehidupan’ (Life Inspired) was aimed to inspire the childrens and give valuable tips on how to be a successful and better person through the storytelling session by the reputable icons. The icons were stood up by four panels and each panel was represented from different kind of field such as police, leader, volunteer and journalist.
The chosen icons that were invited as panel of the program were Shah Alam Member of Parliament; YB Tuan Khalid Samad, Sinar Harian Reporter; Cik Suharni Zainuddin, Police Officer from Shah Alam Police Headquarters; Inspektor Mat Nasir bin Bebakar and the Founder of TFTN; Cik Asmidar Alias.
In order to enliven the atmosphere with the childrens; a mascot appearance by the name of ‘Si Manja’ and ‘Si Manis’; a mascot teammate from Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS). The children had so much fun and felt excited with the presence of the mascots.
MEDIU’s Manager of Administrative Affairs Division; Mr. Fuad Ahmad Umar Al’As participated as well in the program and giving out the tokens of appreciation to the panels as well as contribution to the charity homes.
Mr.Jamaluddin Hussain; on behalf of MEDIU’s Head of Public Relations would like to express his appreciation the staff and student who came and assist the team to runs the program smoothly. Those who participated were:
