The university has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with local education institution by signing a memorandum with Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPs), Perlis and the he signing ceremony was held during the visit to MEDIU on Wednesday, 10 August 2016.
The MoU was signed between MEDIU’s CEO, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and Rector of KUIPs, Mejar (K) Dr. Mohd Mizan Bin Mohammad Aslam in the presence of MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research & Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail and Mufti State of Perlis; Sahibus Samahah Prof. Madya Dato’ Arif Perkasa Dr. Mohd Asri Bin Zainul Abidin. The signing of the MoU for three years of collaboration aimed at strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the two institution in the field of educational academic programs specifically related to Islamic Sciences in the framework for the development of the curriculum and academic quality.
Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPs) http://kuips.edu.my/ was established in March 2013 under under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Custom Perlis (MAIPs). The institution vision to become a leading Islamic academic institution based at the international level that offers a blend of traditional and contemporary Islamic studies program to create a better educated and competent work in catalysing the development and modernization of the country.
