Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for master programmes from 9-11 November 2010. The delegation panels were Prof.Madya Dr.Muhd Fauzi Muhamad (UPM), Dr.Mohammad Deen Mohd Napiah (UIAM), Dr. Mohamad Sabri Zakaria (UIAM), Prof.Madya Dr.Ammar Fadzil (UIAM), Dr.Mohd Radhi Ibrahim (USIM), Dr.Mohammad Deen Mohd Napiah (UIAM) and Dr. Mahamad Ariffin (UIAM). MQA officers were represented by Pn. Nor Mini Othman and En.Kamarul Bakri Abd.Aziz.
The master programmes that were being evaluated are Master in Fiqh, master in Usul Al-Fiqh, Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran and Master in Fiqh Al-Sunah. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi, the academic deans and lecturers.
The evaluation of the programmes involves discussion session with the deans and lecturers of the master programmes, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the local and international students whom are taking the above said programmes. At the end of the visit, the panels visited all the departments in MEDIU and expressed their admiration towards the academic and technical level that the university has reached.
