After 10 years in the country, Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has stepped up as a private higher education institution (HEI) which offers comprehensive Islamic learning programs and is one of the pioneering universities in a fully online learning program.
The special interview with MEDIU’s Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi Zen to acquire a new perspective of the university as another Islamic education institution choice for the country’s young generation that had previously been overwhelmed with some negative allegation issues.
Among the topics discussed were the benefits of the university compared with other Islamic HEIs where the main focus of MEDIU is its program of study is to uphold the Islamic-based education that is based on Islamic teachings and to make Arabic as the primary language, to restore the glorious and importance of the Quran language as it was in ancient times. In addition to the conducive amenities provided, MEDIU is also among the higher education institutions offering affordable tuition fees and among the lowest in the Malaysian market between RM21,000 and RM29,000.
Based on CEO’s former experience as UIAM Deputy Rector, he will try his best to make the university a credible Islamic learning institution, in line with the objective of being a center of education which benefited the society.
