Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) is free of defamation of Wahabi, radical and extremist syllabus – Sinar Harian (Nasional), 13/7/2018 (Friday)

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has confirmed independently from spreading radical and extremist teachings after obtaining confirmation from several agencies and departments. MEDIU’s CEO, Prof. Emeritus. Ismawi Zen said that the university has received a formal confirmation letter from the Chief Police Officer of Selangor, Datuk Mazlan Mansor who represented the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Chairman of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi.

“This permits MEDIU to continue to operate as a higher education institution and deny the existence of negative elements leading to any radical and extremists in the university’s syllabus and activities.”

Commenting further at a press conference in MEDIU, Ismawi said the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) approval also allowed MEDIU to recruit international students for their upcoming intake in September 2018 and be re-listed on the Public Service Department (JPA) website as eligible for the local students to apply for government vacancy posts.
