An orientation day to welcome the new students of MEDIU was held on Monday, 18 April 2011. The orientation program is collaboration from the Research and Development Division and Student Affairs Department. The ceremony was attended by MEDIU’s Honorable Rector; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi along with the Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Kamal Tawfiq Mohd Hattab, Deputy Rector of Research and Development; Assoc. Prof Dr Mowafak Abdulla Ahmed Al-Kusairy and Deputy Rector of Student Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Habeeb Rahman Ibramsa. Deans and lecturers of the University’s were also presented to welcome and to motivate the new students.
The ceremony begins with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a visual presentation on MEDIU’s introduction and achievements. MEDIU’s Honorable Rector was given an opportunity to give a speech to the new students, emphasizing on the importance of seeking knowledge while having patience along the way of gaining knowledge. General guidelines methods on admission and registration were presented to the students. The new students were urged to adhere on to the regulations and guidelines by the University’s.
