Workshop sessions to introduce the engineering program available in MEDIU were being held at the Polytechnic Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan on Thursday, 11 April 2013. The session was briefed by MEDIU’s Head of Marketing; Mr. Mohd Shahrin Ab. Rahman to the engineering diploma holders from the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Overviews of engineering programs offered by the University were presented, in an effort to attract the college students to pursue their education after graduated their undergraduate’s level.
The academic program that was introduced to the students is:
• Pre Engineering Course
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic
Future collaboration in regards to the University’s engineering students; the University’s Research and Development Division had previously signed an agreement with Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Malaysia (SIRIM) in the presence Malaysia’s longest-serving Prime Minister of Malaysia; Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad during his visit to MEDIU in March, 2011 for the purpose of using their facilities, laboratories and other amenities that relates to the engineering field.
