During the session, the biography of the personality of Imam Syafi’e were being reviewed, and the origins of his doctrine and his impact on the Malaysian society. MEDIU’s Honorable Rector; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi also were present to honor the participants, by delivered a message on the importance of seeking knowledge and patience in practical application of their life style and following the approach in our daily lives. At the end of the session, the speakers urged the participants to be concerned on the etiquette of seeking knowledge and follow the biographies of the Ummah’s scientists, to inquire knowledge that benefit the whole Islamic nation.

A public lecture session was recently held in MEDIU with the topic on “The Principles of Religious Scholars Imam Shafi `e and Syafi’eyyah” from 25-26 December 2010. The two-day session was organized by Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) in collaboration with Perniagaan Bushra. The speakers for the session were, Dr. Muhammad Nur Ihsan; Lecturer in the areas of Faith (Theology) of Dirasat Islamiah Imam Shafei High School in Jambar, East Java, Indonesia and Ustaz Abu Ihsan Al-Atsari; a writer and translator of books in Indonesia. The event was officiated by Dr. Hisham Bani Khalaf; Dean, Faculty of Education in MEDU with mass participation from the communities of researchers, teachers and students.
