Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received an honored guest from Al-Qalam University, Katsina in Nigeria on Thursday, 1 October 2015. The delegation was led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Muslim Ibrahim and was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi along with Deputy CEO R&D; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail, Dean Faculty of Languages; Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega and Head of Fiqh and Usul Fiqh Department; Asst. Prof. Dr. Umar Aliyu Abubakar.
MEDIU’s Honorable CEO expressed his gratitude to the honored guest for their visit to MEDIU and keenness to view the University’s at a closer perspective. A visual presentation on the university’s goals, faculties and academic programs as well as its educational administrative process were being presented to the honored guest by PR Coordinator, Mr. Ahmad Fallatah. The honored guests expressed their admiration on the level the University’s has reached in the modern technology in support of the learning process.
The university has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with international university by signing a memorandum with Al-Qalam University, Katsina. The session was signed between Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and Dr. Muhammad Muslim Ibrahim. The MoU between the two to collaborate efforts to establish and develop academic exchange and co-operation in teaching, training, research and development in the activities among others to promote exchange of online learning technologies, to exchange of information and materials of mutual interest, to promote and facilitate the exchange of research, teaching staff as well as students and others.
Al-Qalam University, Katsina (http://www.auk.edu.ng/) is the first Islamic University in Nigeria. The university stand unique among others due to its aim to produce not only students with academic excellence but also with Islamic moral values and conduct to positively fit into the larger society. The university provide various courses spreading along five colleges namely Humanities, Education, Applied Sciences, Management and Social Sciences.
