MEDIU received a visit by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Jalali and Sheikh Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Salloomi on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The honored guests were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Kamal Tawfiq Mohd Hattab; Deputy Rector, Academic Affairs Division, Associate Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Algosaira; Deputy Rector, Research and Development, Dr. Omar Radwan; Deputy Rector, Students and Administration affairs, Mr. Khalid Mahamat Idriss Ahamat; Manager of Administrative Affairs Division, Mr.Sirag Elnour; Chief Technology Officer, and Prof Dr. Wan Mahmood Wan; Consultant, Faculty of Engineering.
During the meeting, the guests were briefed an introductory presentation about the University and its achievements along with a tour through the electronic site of the university electronic gates. The guests were invited to have a short tour around the University’s department, allowing them to enjoy the environment on the high-tech facilities in MEDIU.
At the end of the visit, both guests expressed their respect and appreciation to the University’s by conveying the message in the MEDIU’s guestbook with: “We are pleased and thankful to Allah for the establishment of this university and its outstanding future plans, and we ask all Muslims, especially scholars and intellectuals who have the ability and potential to support its progress”.
