On Friday evening, 15 January 2010, MEDIU received a delegation and representatives from SyQiC Capital Sdn Bhd. SyQic is an IPTV Broadband Content Enabler delivering localized solutions and interactive contents for a converging world based in Shah Alam. The SyQic’s representatives led by Mr.Jamal Hassim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SyQic Capital Sdn.Bhd.; Business Partners of SyQiC Capital which are Haji Zainal Osman, Mr.Hamid Gani, Mr.Mohamad Fairuz Hashim, Ms.Intan Suzana Ahmad and Ms.Rozarina Za’abar. The representatives were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abid Abdelouahab, Head of Technology Division and Mr.Ayman Kamel Salim Jaradat,Head of Design and Multimedia Department. Others MEDIU’s personnel that were present for the visit are from the Technology Infrastructure Services Team, Mr,.Raja Fariz Ezwa Raja Alias and Mr.Mohamad Zaman Shahri along with Head of Public Relations, Ms.Nor Hafeza Osman.
The visit’s programme was comprised of a review of Al-Madinah International University as well as presentation by SyQiC Capital on the company, its services and operations as well as the systems implemented by the company. Both parties discussed on the possible cooperation between the MEDIU and SyQiC, and they suggested an implementation of MEDIU Private Automated Branch Exchange (PABX) system as well as teaching method via broadcast as SyQiC has the expertise in developing the system. At the end of the visit, the delegation toured MEDIU’s departments including the Technological and Academic Division of the University.
